WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT?

November 9, 2022

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts . . . “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:6-9

1. FORSAKE WRONG THINKING. Instead of thinking our own unrighteous thoughts, we are invited to actually think the thoughts of God – to trade our thoughts for His and actually view life the way God views it.

2. GET RENEWED IN THE WORD. To get rid of toxic thinking and understand more about how God thinks, we must get our minds renewed by the promises of God. The next few days, seek the Lord and meditate on verses about your thoughts and then watch your thinking start to change.

Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Colossians 3:1-2

3. BE FREE AND BE EFFECTIVE. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but God has given you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You have access to Divine empowerment that breaks chains off people’s lives. Always remember that you have been rescued from the dead and your assignment is to free others in the Name of Jesus (Hebrews 2:14-15).

DAILY CONFESSION TO RENEW YOUR THOUGHT LIFE:
I take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:5). I am not conformed to this world, but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind so that I may know the will of God (Romans 12:2). I lay aside the old self and I put on the new self which is renewed in the likeness of God (Ephesians 4:22-24). I trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

think, verb
