Living By Faith
May 20, 2022Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; but the righteous will live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4
1. Read God’s Word. God has called us to a life of faith. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). Faith is produced when we pay attention to the Word of God.
Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.” Habakkuk 2:2
2. Write what God shows you. Write down your goals and dreams. Revisit the vision — some of the things God has fostered in your heart. Let God refine those dreams and burn out all the self-manufactured or society-driven goals so His perfect will can come to pass in your life.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised). Hebrews 10:23 KJV
3. Speak God’s Word. When you speak something out of your mouth, it’s powerful. Speak the Scriptures over your ambitions, over your dreams, over your future. When you are commuting to work or chauffeuring the kids around, fill up your car with prayer and thanksgiving. Whoever trusts in God will not be disappointed (Romans 10:11).
God bless you,
Pastor Jeff
DAILY CONFESSION:
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). I’m full of faith today. I am led by the Holy Spirit. I am rooted and grounded in love. God is faithful who promised and I will not be disappointed. When I cry out to God, He hears me and saves me out of all my troubles (Psalm 34:6).
