HOW TO HAVE A VIBRANT LIFE
August 5, 2022Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23
1. WATCH OVER YOUR HEART. We all have a muscle in the center of our chest. It’s called a heart, and it’s pretty amazing. It pumps about 2,000 gallons worth of blood every day. But just as the physical heart gives life to our body, our spiritual heart serves as the central element of our existence. That’s why Proverbs is telling us to watch over it with all diligence.
My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. They are not to escape from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their body. Proverbs 4:21-22
2. PAY ATTENTION TO GOD’S WORD. God’s Word is medicine. It doesn’t agitate or create distraction like many other forms of information. God’s Word settles issues like who God is and who we are. It well defines why the world is so messed up. Our prototypes, Adam and Eve, rebelled against God and failed and fell, and that’s why we needed Jesus to come in on the scene to rescue us. I encourage you to get your own Bible that you love. I read from the New American Standard version a lot, but there are so many translations and languages to choose from.
But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. 1 Peter 3:15a AMP
3. MAKE JESUS YOUR PRIMARY FOCUS. Let Jesus be the One who is with you through the storm. He has rescued us, and He is the one who will never leave us or forsake us and who has the capacity to say peace be still. Because of Jesus, you can let the Good News govern your thought life, your mood, your attitude, and your outlook.
God bless you!

PRAY THIS PRAYER:
God, I love You. I set You apart as holy and give You first place in my life. I pay attention to Your words and keep them constantly in my heart. Help me to dial into Your plan for my day. Order my steps. Be with me in my conversations and help me with my decisions. I pray I can win more people to Jesus than ever before. Let my life be filled with Your presence – in Jesus’ Name, amen.
