DESIGNED FOR DURABILITY
November 9, 2022The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him. Psalm 28:7
1. LET GOD LIFT YOU. When King David had to strengthen himself in the Lord after a hard battle, it wasn’t easy. He wasn’t well rested; he wasn’t feeling spiritual; he didn’t have anyone else to encourage him. But still he got into God’s presence and received direction and encouragement (1 Samuel 30:6). Whatever circumstances you find yourself in, however depleted you may feel, seek the Lord – He has answers and strength for your every need!
2. WHAT’S FILLING YOUR HEART? When push comes to shove, that which fills our hearts will come out of our mouths (Luke 6:45). The best thing we can do is saturate ourselves with the Old and New Testament; pack in the Psalms and Proverbs; read the Gospels; read the Epistles. The more we meditate on the Word day and night, the more the power of God’s promises will flow out of us in times of crisis.
3. SURVIVE & THRIVE. God has designed us for longevity. He has called us to be more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). To overcome in the day of trouble, get in the presence of God. Get in the Word of God, so that you can survive and thrive in any crisis.
Press on,

DAILY CONFESSION based on Psalm 1
The Lord knows the way of the righteous. I am blessed because I do not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. But my delight is in the law of the Lord and in His Law I meditate day and night. I am like a tree firmly planted by streams of water which yields fruit in season, and my leaves don’t wither. In whatever I do, I prosper!
